We offer a diverse range of solutions that address water and sanitation needs for urban and rural communities. These are funded by donors, foundations and corporate social responsibility programs. Our solutions range from short-term, intermediate and comprehensive long-term engagements with communities and government agencies.
RAPID ACTION MODULES
Revival of Heritage TanksIndia is studded with ancient heritage tanks that serve multiple purposes including rainwater harvesting and groundwater recharge while providing vital recreational spaces for the public. Today, many of these are in derelict condition.
Revival of these tanks is an environmental necessity and creates goodwill and ownership in villages and towns. Prerak Trust has executed multiple such projects. |
LONG-TERM ENGAGEMENTS
Revival of LakesOur team works with both the community and the municipality to design and implement comprehensive lake restoration programs.
Lakes deteriorate due to industrial and domestic pollution or from encroachment. To improve the quality of the lake, we typically employ measures ranging from dredging, clearing drains and relevant engineering techniques. |

We are also experienced in social mapping which help design workflow in areas such as the collection of solid waste or to identify locations to build community toilets.
This is a fundamental step in the design of water and sanitation systems. SurveysWe have expertise in conducting surveys of households, commercial establishments and industries to extract key information on the command area.
