Revival of a Heritage Tank in Thyamagondlu, KarnatakaThis project is part of an Integrated Water and Sanitation Management program in the village and sponsored by TD Power Systems Ltd., based in Bangalore. This is a long-term engagement with the village of Thyamagondlu where we have designed and will implement multiple projects over a phased timeline. We engage all stakeholders and enable them to participate in the project.

Reed Bed Treatment Plant in HuskurThis two-part project involved setting up a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) with reed bed technology for a community toilet and the revival of a reservoir. The project was funded by Biocon Foundation, based in Bangalore.

Community Toilet in Thyamagondlu VillageWe designed and constructed a community toilet next to a bus stand on the main road. This was identified as an urgent need by the people of the village. We designed a compact, modular structure with basic toilet and bathing amenities and set up a caretaker arrangement to maintain the toilet. The new community toilet provides tremendous relief to people in transit.

Solid Waste Management in ThyamagondluPrerak Trust designed and implemented a Solid Waste Management (SWM) system that could be integrated into the local government system instead of providing a solution to be implemented as a parallel initiative. There was a convergence by all stakeholders to collaborate and ensure the success of the system. The first phase of the SWM project covered 2 wards consisting of about 3,000 residents and 150 commercial establishments.
